Voting with a Mail in Ballot

What is it?

Voting by mail is an option for voters to cast their ballot prior to election day. Voters can request a vote by mail ballot through the mail or in person. You don't need a reason! Voting by mail is available to any registered voter.

The first day to file an application for a vote by mail ballot with your local Election Authority is August 8th, 2018. 

All requests by mail must be received by your local Election Authority by November 1st, 2018.

For a ballot to be counted, it must be postmarked on or before November 6, 2018 and arrive at the Champaign County Clerk's Office by Tuesday, November 20, 2018.
